Sawyer Mansion 100th Birthday

Celebration of the 100th birthday of the stately Sawyer Mansion on May 15-16, 2010, provided an opportunity for Friends of the Buena Library – together with a host of other participating community organizations and businesses – to promote our Capital Campaign and annual Grand Ole Barn Dance.

Situated on the west veranda over-looking the pool, dining tables, and extensive gardens, Buena Library supporters greeted visitors with "take a book, please make a donation". FoBL President Gini Obert and Vice President Doris Miles arranged a wide variety of books, and pointed out the red barn for receipt of donations and promotion of the May 22 dinner-dance.
