Washington Apple Education Foundation Grant
Virginia Obert, Friends of Buena Library President, and Phillip Abri, English As A Second Language Instructor, celebrate program funding. With a $2,810 grant from the Washington Apple Education Foundation, Mr. Abri taught two class levels in Fall-Winter 2009.
Ten weeks of classes (three days per week) served beginning and intermediate adult language-learners. Mr. Abri developed the grant application which successfully secured generous funding by the Washington Apple Education Foundation. The Buena Library community appreciates this outstanding support!
The Washington Apple Education Foundation provided a $2,470 grant to fund ESL instruction during the Fall-Winter of 2010-2011. Ms. Merrill Sepulveda did an outstanding job teaching a class of enthusiastic adults. Ms. Sepulveda appears in the picture below (on far left) with her class on completion certificate award day. FoBL President Gini Obert attended the celebration to convey congratulations (she appears second from the right).
Friends of Buena Library received an additional $2,542 grant in May, 2011, providing funding for instructional materials as well as program continuation.
Washington Apple Education Foundation support has been outstanding and is much appreciated in the Buena community!
